From the Director

Making the decision to enroll your baby or toddler into a preschool is an important step in laying the foundation for his/her overall growth and development. We take this responsibility very seriously which is why we offer a safe, loving environment which fosters creative learning, physical growth and development and social maturation. We encourage team work, cooperation and individual achievement through self-expression. Beth Jacob Preschool is well-regarded for our low teacher/student ratios which affords our children the opportunity to grow and learn in a safe, nurturing, Jewish environment where individual attention is the norm.

For more information or to schedule a tour, call our Preschool Director Robyn Grossblatt at 678-244-6649, or email rgrossblatt@bethjacobatlanta.org. The main number for the Preschool is 678-244-6659.

About our preschool

Core Values:

Beth Jacob Preschool welcomes all Jewish children, ages three months through pre-kindergarten.

Torah is the foundation for all our curriculum as we believe that through a Torah lens our children can learn and grow into responsible, caring and compassionate adults with strong Jewish values. We value our privilege and responsibility in teaching Judaics to your children. They are immersed in learning the richness of Jewish values and customs which reinforces what our children are learning at home and this is a major aspect of our connections with the weekly Torah portion and Jewish holidays.

Social Development:

It is our responsibility to partner with parents to help our children develop into balanced, confident and healthy members of Klal Yisroel (Jewish people). At BJ Preschool we do this through Circle Time, doing mitzvot, learning how to share and take turns, using good manners, and by encouraging independent thinking to help each child develop a strong sense of self and positive self-esteem. Paying close attention to the social development of each child is a critical step in preparation for elementary school and beyond. From the earliest age, our children form friendships with their peers and follow those relationships into adulthood. We encourage their independence and help them learn how they fit into the world as an individual, as a family member, as a neighbor, and as part of this world.

Support the Individual Child:

Beth Jacob Preschool has long been regarded as a pioneer in working with children who may need just a little extra help in preparing for elementary school. No two children are the same and we are careful to monitor each child though daily observation and careful documentation to track individual progress and development. We pride ourselves on having positive and long-lasting relationships with professionally licensed therapists who work with our parents, teachers and children to ensure the strongest foundation for a bright future of higher learning.

Safety and Security:

We at Beth Jacob Preschool always take the responsibility very seriously of providing a safe environment for each child. Complete with security cameras, emergency door lock-down capabilities, emergency preparedness training for ALL Preschool staff, regular fire and tornado drills for all children and adults, our facility provides a very safe place for your child. All teachers have passed criminal background checks and we are certified Bright from the Start to ensure that all day-to-day operations are met with rigorous attention to the highest safety standards.

Warm Environment:

We have large classrooms, complete with creative learning centers which include reading, building blocks, kitchens and manipulatives all designed for creative play, self-expression and building relationships. Each classroom is colorful, inviting and stimulating. Combined with our loving and attentive teachers, this creates a safe, warm, loving and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow in the best possible way.

Flexibility:

We offer a flexible program designed for the individual child in mind, as well as for working parents. Children may attend 2,3 or 5 days a week and attend half day (8:45am-1pm) or full day (8:45am-3pm).
