Yonasan Gavant
Vice President
Ex-officio member of all standing committees. Chair of the Personnel Committee. Serves on the Finance Committee. Responsible for the strategic plans of the Congregation.

Ruth Goldstein
Treasurer
Responsible for all financial aspects of Beth Jacob, including formulating policies regarding dues and building fund, supervising collection of all financial obligations owed to the Shul, budgeting and presentation of monthly financial statements.

Yelena Hertzberg
Secretary and Development Trustee
Record all meetings of the membership, the Executive Committee, the Board, and the Congregation. Chair of the By-Laws Committee and Policies Committee.
Development Trustee
Oversees all fundraising activities within the Congregation, including creating and implementing new fundraising events. Provides strategic fundraising oversight for the Congregation.

Josh JOel
Trustee-at-Large
Serves as the Board contact with ancillary organizations, such as the Sisterhood, Mikvah Association and Cemetery Guardians. In this role, the At-Large Trustee makes the Board aware of what is occurring with the ancillary organizations, and brings issues concerning them to the Board from Chairs of each group on a monthly basis.

Melanie Frank
Youth Trustee
Responsible for the Congregation’s youth activities. Oversees all youth activities and manages all youth related volunteer led activities.

Matt Lewis
Parliamentarian
Assists the Shul in planning meetings. Provides proper procedures for the conduct of meetings. Is a resource to the chair, and assists the chair in the conduct of meetings. Reviews the Shul’s governing documents and provides an opinion as to how to proceed within the rules.

Michele Kaplan
Membership & Programming Trustee
Responsible for all matters pertaining to the educational and social activities of the Congregation, the recruitment and retention of members, and the marketing of Beth Jacob Atlanta as a community that connects Jews of all backgrounds.

David Jaffe
Building Trustee
Responsible for the physical facility of Beth Jacob Atlanta and oversight of the ancillary properties housed on the Beth Jacob Atlanta campus. Responsible for all maintenance and repairs. Responsible for all capital projects.

Elisa Ellman
Early Childhood Development
The ECD Trustee represents the interests of the preschool administration and parent body to the Board of Trustees and is the lay leader responsible for all educational, legal, financial, and operational matters pertaining to the preschool.

Gavin Ellman
Security Trustee
Responsible for the development and implementation of all safety policies and procedures of the Congregation.
