Chametz sale form

Before Pesach, it is a requirement to eliminate all chametz from our possession. Halacha allows for chametz (liquor, dry goods, etc...) to be sold to a non-Jew when elimination is not an easy option.
PLEASE NOTE: The sale of chametz will be effective as of 12:19pm on Monday, April 22.
We welcome Ma'os Chitim contributions, either online via the form below or cash or checks made out to Congregation Beth Jacob with "Ma’os Chitim" in the memo. All funds go to support local families in need with Pesach expenses.

You can sell your Chametz in one of two ways:

1.  Click here to download the Chametz Sale Form. Submit in person or by email [marsha@bethjacobatlanta.org] by Monday, April 22 at 9:00am.

OR

2. Fill out the fully online form below
IMPORTANT:  Once we receive your form, you will receive an email from Beth Jacob confirming that your form has been processed. If you do not get the confirmation email within 24 hours of your submission, please contact the office for assistance.

DELEGATION OF POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR SALE OF CHAMETZ

I, the UNDERSIGNED, fully empower and permit Rabbi Ilan D. Feldman and/or Rabbi Dov Foxbrunner to act in my place and stead, and in my behalf to sell all chametz possessed by me (knowingly or unknowingly), as defined by the Torah and Rabbinic law, for example:  chometz, doubt of chametz, and all kinds of chametz mixtures, and to lease all places wherein the chametz owned by me may be found.

Rabbi Ilan D. Feldman and/or Rabbi Dov Foxbrunner has the full right to sell and to lease transactions, as he deems fit and proper and for such time which he believes necessary.

This general authorization is made a part of the contract used by Rabbi Ilan D. Feldman and/or Rabbi Dov Foxbrunner to sell chametz.  In addition, I hereby give the said Rabbi Ilan D. Feldman and/or Rabbi Dov Foxbrunner full power and authority to appoint a substitute in his stead with full power to sell and to lease as provided herein.  The above given power is in conformity with all Torah, Rabbinical regulations and laws, and also in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia and of the United States.  And to this hereby I affix my signature.

There is no charge for the service of acting as your agent for the Sale of Chametz. However, many have the custom to make their gift for Ma'os Chitim to fulfill two mitzvahs at the same time. All funds go to Pesach needs and support needy people in our community.
