Jacob’s Angels Society: Guardians of Beth Jacob’s holy mission to serve G-d and His children.

In Parshas Teruma, the Almighty asks the Jewish people to participate in building a Divine dwelling. Each was asked to give voluntarily—gold, silver, copper…-- according to their heart’s desire, with the exception of the ½ shekel which all were required to give to the building and sustenance of the Tabernacle—and eventually the Holy Temple.

Today, Beth Jacob stands as our Mikdash M’at—our representation of the Holy Temple in Exile. We similarly rely both on the required contribution of dues, but also on the inspired generosity of members who choose to go above and beyond in their support of our Shul. The Jacob’s Angels Society has contributed 10-15% of the shul’s operating budget over the past five years while also making it possible for us to reduce our debt load by 60%.

Jacobs Angels members have asked little or nothing from the shul—happy in the knowledge that their support of Beth Jacob has made a difference. However, now as we have made significant progress in reducing our debt, we have chosen to grow the program to help link program support to critical synagogue elements – Adult Education, Youth Programs, High Holiday Services—or any other area with which our members fervently identify.
We invite you to join with us in growing the Jacob’s Angels Society and building a strong Beth Jacob for the future during this, our jubilee year.
