First Fifty Years
In 1931, a small group of observant members of Ahavath Achim Synagogue, including Isaac Melnick, Pinchas Ginsburg and Morris Gavonsky, made arrangements to hold High Holiday services in the Boulevard-Parkway Drive neighborhood were they lived. That year, Isaac Melnick hosted services at his home. The following years 15 men davened at the home of Pinchas Ginsburg. In 1933 the group davened in a vacant store.
